Step-by-step instructions for assembling and adjusting your Incog X holster with mag caddy for the Sig P320 nonlight. Get a secure, comfortable concealed carry rig.

Quick answer

Assemble the holster body and mag caddy onto the belt clip plate, adjust the cant and ride height for your preferred carry position, then test retention with your unloaded P320.

Why setup order matters

The Incog X hybrid design uses a single belt clip plate that holds both the holster and the mag caddy. If you attach the holster body first without aligning the caddy, you may need to loosen everything and start over. Planning the order saves time.

Position and cant options

The Incog X supports multiple carry positions (appendix, strong-side, small of back). The cant adjustment screws allow you to tilt the holster from neutral to a forward cant. For appendix carry, a 10–15° forward cant often improves concealment and draw. For strong-side, a neutral or slight forward cant works best.

Setup steps

  1. 1. Attach the belt clip plate: Slide the belt clip plate onto your belt at your preferred carry position. Make sure the clip is fully seated and the plate is level. Common mistake: attaching the plate upside down — the screw holes should face outward. The plate orientation determines which way the holster and caddy face.
  2. 2. Mount the holster body: Align the holster body with the top set of screw holes on the belt clip plate. Insert the two screws and hand-tighten. Do not fully tighten yet — you will adjust the cant and ride height in the next step. Checkpoint: the holster should pivot freely but not wobble.
  3. 3. Attach the mag caddy: Position the mag caddy on the belt clip plate below the holster body, using the lower set of screw holes. Insert screws and hand-tighten. The caddy should sit flush against the plate. Common mistake: overtightening before aligning the caddy angle — leave the screws loose until you confirm the magazine draws smoothly. The caddy angle should mirror the holster cant for a consistent draw.
  4. 4. Adjust cant and ride height: With both components loosely attached, put on the belt and holster your unloaded P320. Adjust the cant (tilt) and ride height (vertical position) until the grip sits comfortably and clears your clothing when you draw. Tighten all screws once you are satisfied. Checkpoint: the holster should retain the pistol with a firm click and not shift during movement.
  5. 5. Test retention and function: With the P320 unloaded, holster and draw several times from your carry position. The holster should provide audible and tactile retention (a click). If the draw feels sticky or the pistol rattles, adjust the retention screws on the holster body. Common mistake: forgetting to test with the magazine inserted — the extra weight can change how the rig sits. Perform a final function check with a dummy round or snap cap to confirm the trigger guard is fully covered.
